What Do You Wonder? Part 2
Now that you have chosen a question that you wonder, we need to gather some websites that could help us find the answer! Here is what you need to do:
- Make sure your question only asks 1 question. I see some of you have 2 questions in one. Here is my question after learning about the sun and how it affects us on Earth- (very simple): What does SPF mean on sunscreen labels?
- Gather some websites that may be able to help you find your answer. Quick Tip: If you type your actual question in Google, it may be too specific to actually help find your answer. Try Googleing key words from your question instead of typing the whole thing. For instance, here is what I Googled:
- What is SPF?
- The history behind sunscreen?
- What does SPF mean?
- How was SPF created?
I am basically answering my question in 4 different ways to find more information.
Post your question (especially if you modified it to make it one simple question instead of two from your original post) and below and copy + paste at least (4) links that could help you find your answer.
Your comment below should look like this:
My Question: What does SPF mean on sunscreen labels?
My 4 Websites:
If you need help with your links, ask a parent to help you copy + paste OR you can search on youtube.com "how to copy and paste".
ONE LAST THING:
- Be sure to log in to your Google account BEFORE you post. This way your name shows up in the comment section. Look through your previous comments to make sure your name is on them. If not, reply to a comment that shows "Unknown" and let us know that the comment was from you.
- Make sure your responses to questions and comments to others are KIND and have a purpose. No funny business. Our purpose is to learn from one another and lift each other higher during this time of online learning. Posts may be deleted by Ms. Y or me if the rules aren't followed.
- Even if you don't find your actual answer from the links you posted, you could learn something new, and your project could change to what you learned from your research, instead of if you answered the exact question. Don't panic.
Post away! Let's see those research questions in action!

DeleteQuestion: How long will humans live if the sun explodes?

Question: Does sunscreen protect you?
ReplyDeleteAnswer: It kinda protects you. Sun screen absorbs UV rays through a combination of physical and chemical particles. But keep this in mind, sunscreen does not block all the UV rays. So if you thought sunscreen had the might of a bulletproof vest you were wrong. Sunscreen has the might of a thin bulletproof vest. It can protect you just not the best.
