Question: The French and indian war was not really a fight between the french and the native americans (or as they call them, indians,) but rather a fight between great britain’s and france’s colonies in north america. Both were seeking to expand their boundaries, but they ended up running into each other, then fighting over land. The french and british pulled the native americans into the fight, the Indians didn't start it and probably didn't have much interest in it, because when/if they won, they wouldn't get anything.
ReplyDeleteChallenge question: The French and indian war helped start the revolutionary war by making the british lose money by investing in better military supplies to win the war and get the land. But the person who paid the money, William Pitt, was in debt, so the british taxed the Americans to get that money back, but they didn't like that, so that led to the boston massacre and the boston tea party and Patrick Henry's speech, ect.
Also, I don't know what the Hoot Ace paragraph question is because I wasn't there on the lat half day, and I didn't bring my notebook home, So if someone could tell me I would really appreciate that.
DeleteHi Luca, I'm messaging your mom and dad on Remind to tell you how to find them.
DeleteThe countries that were mostly involved in the French and Indian War were the French, British, and American colonists. I know this because the French wasn't necessarily fighting all the Native Americans because they had some on their side. They were mostly fighting the British with some Native Americans on their side, too. The American colonists were on also Britain's side.
ReplyDeleteThe French war wasn't the French and Indians fighting it was French and Great Britain who was fighting because both countries controlled two different colonies the French controlled Canada while Great Britain controlled the east side. But then both countries wanted to seek more land (or expand more land). So they did and eventually they ran into each other and that's how the French and "Indian" war started.
ReplyDeleteChallenge question: After the French and Indian war Great Britain went into debt because they had used a lot of money to buy supplies that were needed in the war because they didn't have a lot of supplies. So then after the war since they were in debt so,they started to tax America because like I said they were in debt and they taxed America for tea etc. And so then America did protests and tried to stop the taxes. They got so mad they started the Revolutionary War which was between America and Great Britain.
The French and Indian war was really between the French and the British because the British and the French were both fighting for one area in North America.

ReplyDeleteChallenge question: The French and Indian war helped start the revolutionary war when William Pitt put in founds to get better military supplies to win the war. But when the war ended the British were in debt, so they started taxing the Americans in order to pay back the money. The Americans didn't appreciate that so they began to protest. And that caused the revolutionary war.

Question: The French and Indian war was really The French vs. The British. Both of theses people wanted land in the US that each other could not have at the same time.
ReplyDeleteChallenge Question: The French and Indian war helped start the Revolutionary war because William Pitt spent money on the military that they didn't really have, and ended up putting the country in debt. The Britain's way of getting out of debt, was to tax their people and nobody liked that. So then they started protesting and annoying the government, and eventually, war came.

ReplyDeleteI think they chose the Grizzly bear because it is a very fierce animal. It also is powerful, large, and fast and can run at 35-45 mph. But I think it was a bad choice because there are no wild grizzly bears located in California. I think they should have chose the black or brown bear because they are in California.
ReplyDeleteYou are close, Julia! You are right about who the war was between, but actually the British won. If the French won, we might be speaking French right now instead of English. Oui oui! -Ms. Y

The British were in debt from buying things in the war, so they taxed the colonists. The colonists didn't get a say in the taxes, even though there were protests, town hall meetings, and petitions, so it eventually led to the Revolutionary War.
the french and Indianan war was between the Indians and Canada and the britich army.

DeleteIt may be called the French and Indian war but that fools you, it was actually a fight between the French and the British. And the reason it led to the revolutionary war was because, William Pitt had a huge debt and had to pay it off so he started to tax the Americans, but we didn't like that so that was how the revolutionary war broke out.

DeleteThe countries involved in the French and Indian War were the French and the British and the Indians. The French won a lot against the British in the wars with each other and took the Indians land away.I know this because the text states, “ the French won a lot against the British in the wars with each other and the French took most of their land to have it for themselves.”
ReplyDeleteThis means the British needed to step up their gear and training and team up with the Indians if they wanted to beat the French in war.
