The last day before school was out, our class had a little bit of time before our Congressional Meeting to talk about what was going on with the coronavirus. The world knows a lot more now, and here are some answers to questions you may have that other kids around our country have as well. (This is the same podcast that we listened to at the beginning of the year about the Girl and Boy Scouts.)

A Kids’ Guide to Coronavirus

1. Covid-19 is a semi-deadly virus. It has killed some, but infected more. It is a little more lethal than the flu, only one other symptom being shortness of breath.
ReplyDelete2. The virus mainly spreads through germs on objects, hands, etc. In this case, wear gloves and avoid touching your face. Unlike a bacteria, a virus spreads through holes in the body. (mouth, nose, eyes, ears, etc) So one way to stay safe is to wash hands for 2 minutes, and don't touch your face.
3. Avoid contact with anyone unless it is your family who you know dose not have it. This prevents you and that person from shaking hands, hugging, etc.
4. Stay at home. This prevents you from coming in contact with anything with the risk of having the germs of Covid-19.
5. When you sneeze or cough, do it in your elbow so the germs travel to you, and not other people. With the risk of you having it, you don't want to spread it. If you do have it, you want to contain the germs in you.
